Every Christian can experience God in their born again spirit, but these workings flow through the soul before they are tangibly expressed. This is why the renewal of the soul is so important. Every person’s soul has corresponded with the world through the five senses of the body. This forms the flesh, or a carnal way of thinking. Out of ones mindset comes thoughts, which create desires, which leads to decisions, then actions, habits, character and ultimately ones outcome in life. The influence of the world in a person’s soul must be removed, cleansed, and brought under the Lordship of Christ. This will cause the soul to naturally carry out what God places in the spirit, resulting in a victorious and fruitful Christian life.
